Unpopular opinion: Need For Speed Most Wanted 2005 is not the best nfs game. Don't get me wrong, it's an amazing game, definitely in the top 5, but the mechanics are clunky and the graphics are poor, also it lacks a lot of useful features that newer nfs games have. Not saying it's bad, just not as good as people say it is. Underground 1 and 2 look way better than Most Wanted on Gamecube. Carbon was saved on the fact that it took place in night so it hid almost all the graphical sacrifices made in order to fit on the mini dvd. About the handling and speed, you can tweak it on each car but even with that, it does stay behind Burnout 3 but it's understandable since NFSU2 wasn't intended as a full arcade racing game. In terms of older NFS games, I recommend NFSU because it is similar to NFSU2 except no open world, NFS Carbon because it is similar to MW05, and NFSHP2 (ps2 version is superior) if you like exotic cars and cop chases. 1. many racing games arent available to buy anymore due to timed licensing, basically any need for speed before most wanted 2012 i think. any forza game before forza motorsport 7, codemasters games before dirt rally. then you had the rather underrated game blur from 2011 or 2012 too i think.
