Instructions Fluff up the flour in the bag or container. Flour is tightly packed inside the bag or container. To avoid packed flour, you need to fluff it up with a spoon before you measure it. Using a spoon, sprinkle the flour into the measuring cup. Gently pile it in until it forms a heap above the rim of the measuring cup.
Theamount of flour that fits into 1 cup depends largely on how big the particles are. If it’s a coarser grind, like our Hazelnut Flour, less flour fits in a cup and therefore weighs less per cup – only 112 grams. If it’s a super fine grind, like Sweet White Rice Flour, more flour fits into a cup and will weigh more – 204 grams!

Itvaries by brand, kind of. King Arthur says their AP flour is 120g per cup, whereas Bob's Red Mill says theirs is 136g. The difference could come down to the treatment of the AP and the grind, but since both are unbleached, I think it's more likely that it's a difference in the way they measured.
Ifthe density is given in grams per milliliter (g/mL), then first divide the density by 4.2268 to convert to kg/c. For a density given in g/mL, you can use this simple formula to convert: kilograms = cups × density 4.2268. Thus, the weight in kilograms is equal to the volume in cups times the density (in g/mL) of the ingredient or material
