First thought was air in fuel and glow plugs. Glow plugs changed (beru) and checked. Fuel lines changed from primer bulb (incl) to filter and then to pump. Leak off lines changed also. Still can't start the car. Run the battery flat 3 times bleeding air. The problem seems to be no fuel getting to injectors.
The van then lacked power (but not limp mode), and starting the van from cold wont hold revs and stalls out immediately. The way round this is to rev the engine for 5 minutes until it does hold revs and will idle normally. The garage blamed a glow plug issue, and changed them, they said this prevented DPF cleaning cycle, and then force cleaned DPF.

Ever since we have had the vehicle (12 months) it has been 'moody' in starting. What happens - occasionally - is: foot on brake, turn key - nothing!! From reading the manual many times we have learned
Nov 3, 2021. #5. Hi rceddie. This (to the best of my knowledge) is how an immobiliser of this era is supposed to work. The immobiliser section in the vehicle sends an AC signal at about 125 kHz (a low radio frequency) to the "reader" antenna coil mounted around the key opening in the lock barrel.
